The third important part of speech delivery after word choice and body language, is vocal variety. Using your voice to convey different emotions or levels of importance can greatly enhance your audience’s retention of the important material in your speech.
Assignment:
Today’s assignment is first to choose the topic of your speech. This week’s project will be focused on developing your voice in presentation, so the topic of the speech is not as important. Choose another story or familiar topic that you can write into a speech quickly and begin practicing the tips on vocal variety in your next lesson.
This, like most of the speeches this year, will be a 5-7 minute speech project.
